Almond blossoms aren’t just beautiful—they’re rare! With such a short blooming season, these dreamy trees create a one-of-a-kind setting that photographers (myself included!) dream about all year long. The soft, neutral tones of the blossoms paired with the low-hanging branches make them perfect for capturing families, little ones, and glowing mamas-to-be.

And as if the trees themselves weren’t stunning enough, as the petals start to fall, they create a magical, snow-like effect on the ground. It’s truly breathtaking and adds an extra layer of whimsy to every session.

Almond trees grow primarily in Northern California, making this an exclusive experience for those lucky enough to be here when they bloom. Photographers from all over the country travel to capture this short-lived beauty, but as a Sacramento-based newborn, maternity, and family photographer, I’m lucky to have these stunning orchards right in my backyard!
