Before I was a maternity photographer…

It’s true!! About 7 years ago when I was pregnant with my first baby. This was before I was a maternity photographer! I didn’t know what maternity dress to wear so I chose a dress I found that was pretty but I made some big mistakes: 

What Was Wrong with My Maternity Dress?

The dress was *not* a maternity dress and had no elastic or stretch in it at all! It was made of a really stiff linen material. And although it fit when I tried it on at first, the day of the session came and it was a little tighter, and pulled a little funnier than it did before. Luckily our photographer friend was incredible! I still have so many images that I cherish to this day. But if I could go back and change anything it would be that dress!!
